Thank you if you responded to our public consultations in April and June 2021. We have considered the feedback and made some amendments to the plans before they were submitted to West Northamptonshire Council in November 2021.

On Tuesday 22 June 2021, we held two public drop-in events to show the community the amended plans and invite further feedback. If you were unable to attend, you can view the information that was displayed here.

What’s changed?

We considered the feedback received during the two periods of consultation. The following improvements have been made:

  • A new central boulevard with open space, seating, tree planting and landscaping. The landscaping includes trees and shrubs, sensory and wildflower planting and raised flower beds.
  • In response to feedback from the in-person exhibitions, the public boulevard has been further extended to create a high quality public space at the heart of the scheme.
  • Improved pedestrian links throughout the site including a new path to the north-east of the site connecting to residential communities.
  • The overall layout has been modified to improve the natural flow of the site, with the petrol station reconfigured to reduce its overall footprint, alongside further relocations of the nursery, employment space and retail.

The submitted proposals can be viewed here.

Overstone Leys

Overstone Leys is a new settlement between Overstone and Moulton off the A43 Kettering Road. Outline planning permission for the settlement was granted in 2015 and since then detailed planning applications have been submitted on several parcels of the overall site to bring the development forward.
